Hunting with Us - a typical day

We try and make hunting with us a special experience which will live on as a happy memory for many years.

  • Your Professional Hunter will wake you up early to prepare for the days hunting. A typical day starts with tea, coffee, toast, cereal, fruit and biscuits.
  • Before leaving camp a final check to ensure that everyone we need for the day is on the vehicle or with us.
  • A first aid box and cooler with liquid refreshments will be on the vehicle.
  • Once we have sighted a potential trophy, we leave the vehicle, you load your weapon and follow the Professional Hunter (PH) and tracker in single file and begin stalking the animal.

Once the animal is down and all firearms are made safe we fetch the vehicle and you will be able to ask the PH to assist you capturing the occasion on film.

The animal is then taken to the skinning facility. Here the Tracker and Skinners will take care that your animal is skinned according to your requirements.

Hunting takes place until late morning before returning to camp for a great brunch. After brunch there is time to relax and enjoy a well-deserved siesta.

If we are hunting far from camp, a picnic lunch will be provided and you are likely to spend most of the day hunting.

Again refreshments are available at all times and we hunt until sunset. At dusk we have time to enjoy a legendary African sunset and sun downers before returning to camp.

After a refreshing shower and drinks around the fire before dinner. Traditional foods, fresh vegetables, salads and good South African wines are served with the meal.

After dinner, a nightcap, share a few stories and plan the following days hunt. Then it's time to hit the sack, after a great days hunting, a memorable experience to share with friends.
